2014 Aloft Cabernet Sauvignon

2018 marks a milestone for the Mondavi Family in Napa Valley - a milestone worthy of celebrating 75 years in the Wine Industry.  For more than seven decades the family devoted their time on the valley floor tending to family properties located in Carneros, Yountville, and St. Helena. In the last decade, our father, Marc, added Howell Mountain to our family’s portfolio and launched our first mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. 

Named after the property’s altitude and location above the valley floor, Aloft is the product of our passion and dedication.  Truly a family brand, our father works in conjunction with each of us to create a wine of superior quality that continues to honor our family heritage, our land, and each vintage.

We are beyond excited to release our sixth vintage of Aloft. The 2014 displays vibrant notes of blueberry, blackberry, boysenberry, cocoa powder and black tea leaf.  The wine is rich and complex with hints of tobacco leaf, dark cocoa, cedar and clove - reminiscent to a newly opened cigar box. A touch of sweet molasses combined with mouthwatering acidity compliments the plush, opulent tannins.  This full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon will surely age for decades to come.
